About

I was born in Toulouse, into a family influnced by artists, notably Paul Pujol and Fernand Vellas - I was always surrounded by paintings and this built in me a life-long interest in art.  After my studies, I followed a course in life drawing at the School of  Fine Art of Toulouse, with Professor Remi Peyranne, as part of my passion to communicate through my paintings.

I left France in 1985 to live, work & study in the USA, Germany & UK - I managed to paint a little as I went along. Though I've taken a few courses, I'm almost entirely self-taught as an artist, which allows my preference for spontaneity.

In 2008, I returned to live in the south of France (Grasse), where I have been able to commit more time to painting, become a member of several artist associations and work with a well-known local painter, Annie Toja, who is also self-taught.

I love the south of France and I enjoy every day the beauty of its special light reflecting the famous colours of the country and the seaside.
